Spread throughout three townships, Bryn Mawr is just west of Philadelphia and is located in the center of the Main Line.

 

Bryn Mawr is best known as an affluent community full of country estates that belong to some of the wealthiest families in Philly.

 

Though it carries a prestigious name, it has a small population of around 4,000 residents.

Bryn Mawr is named after a Welsh estate owned by Rowland Ellis near Dolgellau who fled religious persecution in Dolgellau in 1686 and settled in Pennsylvania.

 

The physical landscape is lovely, with creeks and winding roads and old mills and well- established trees.
