When It Comes To Moving Skippack
 We Don't Horse Around!

Skippack, PA

In the year 1706 Gerhardt and Hermanus Indenhofen purchased 440 acres of land from Mathias Van Bebber.

This property over the next 100 years was divided and sold off becoming the village of Skippack.

Gerhardt and his brother built a house on their land around 1720.

It is the first house built in the village and perhaps in the Township.

The Skippack Historical Society has been studying and restoring the Indenhofen house and farmstead over many years.

The primary industry of Skippack village is tourism.

During the week and on weekends the streets of Skippack are crowded with local residents and tourists visiting the many unique shops and restaurants, antique shops, art galleries, or just strolling along the village sidewalks.

The town also offers year-round events and free concerts.

Local merchants and restaurants throughout Skippack have joined forces to create Skippack First Fridays to encourage the public to re-discover the Village of Skippack and its hidden gems.

The event is held every First Friday for the months of April through October from 5-9 p.m., as well as at various locations throughout the year.

Activities include live music, exhibiting artists and entertainment for the whole family.
