  • HOW DO I GET CHARGED?
    Each move is different, but you can rest assured that all charges will be outlined on your estimate. Our moving consultants will review all of the details of our move and will address the costs associated.
  • DO YOU PROTECT MY FURNITURE?
    We use heavy duty moving blankets to ensure your items are protected while we gallop to your destination.
  • WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY MOVE?
    It is advisable to book your move a few weeks in advance to secure your preferred time slot. Booking early ensures that you have availability to choose from before our schedule fills up. Call us today to reserve your move!
  • DO MY MOVERS TAKE BREAKS?
    There is a reason we call our movers workhorses, because we focus on hard work and efficiency. However, every horse needs a water break, and these generally only take a minute or so. Our workhorses usually do not take any breaks for lunch during your move. In the event our crew takes a break for lunch the time will not be billable.
  • DO I NEED TO TIP MY MOVERS?
    Gratuities are appreciated, but not required. Our workhorses love taking care of your needs and if you feel they deserve a tip the best method would be cash.
  • WHAT HAPPENS IF MY ITEMS ARE DAMAGED?
    Our workhorses have every intention of ensuring your items are transported in the same, if not better, condition as received. Packhorse Moving® will work directly with the client to handle any damages. Additionally, each move includes a standard valuation coverage and additional coverage is available upon request.
  • ARE THERE ANY HIDDEN FEES?
    NEIGH! All charges will be outlined on the estimate provided.
  • WHAT HAPPENS IF MY HOME IS DAMAGED?
    Our workhorses have been trained to have an awareness of all walls, floors, ceilings, light figures, etc. when assisting our clients. Packhorse Moving® will work directly with the client to handle any damages.
  • WHO WILL BE ASSISTING WITH THE MOVE?
    Trust us, we know how personal moving is and we respect your personal space. We send an email introducing you to our workhorses. All workhorses at Packhorse Moving® are properly vetted, trained, and beyond excited to help you with your moving needs.
  • HOW DO I PAY?
    We charge you for the move once everything has been completed. All documentation and processing is done paperless. The payment methods will vary with each location as each Packhorse Moving® stable is individually owned and abides by state regulations respectively.
  • ARE YOU LICENSED AND INSURED?
    We are fully insured and licensed to assist you with the best move possible!
  • DO I NEED TO PAY A DEPOSIT?
    To secure the optimal timeslot for your move and guarantee a seamless experience, we require paying a deposit to reserve a spot on our schedule. This deposit will be applied to the final invoice. The exact amount will vary with each location as each Packhorse Moving® stable is individually owned and abides by state regulations respectively.
  • WHAT INSURANCE IS INCLUDED WITH MY MOVE?
    Each move with Packhorse Moving® includes the standard valuation coverage. The exact amount will vary with each location as each Packhorse Moving® stable is individually owned and abides by state regulations respectively. Additional coverage can be purchased directly and additional details will be provided. To read more about your coverage options check out your moving rights and responsibilities.
  • DO YOU MOVE IN BAD WEATHER?
    “Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor hail shall keep the postmen from their appointed rounds.” The same can be said about Packhorse Moving®! We serve our clients unless of severe conditions. Additionally, we know how important it is to keep your items from getting damaged and we cover and wipe dry items as best as possible.
  • WHY PICK THE HORSE?
    First time mover or addicted to change, the horse will move you the same! Packhorse Moving® loves to serve our clients whether big or small. Our professional movers are well trained and they can even make you smile on moving day.
  • HOW ACCURATE IS MY ESTIMATE?
    We strive for precision in our estimates and make every effort to ensure accuracy. A crucial factor in this process is the inventory information provided. To optimize your moving experience, it is recommended to be as transparent as possible with your moving details, allowing us to provide the best service tailored to your needs.
  • DO YOU DISASSEMBLE AND REASSEMBLE MY FURNITURE?
    We will disassemble and reassemble all standard furniture. Custom made beds or baby cribs may need special attention from our workhorses to best accommodate.
  • ODD BREEDS WE DON'T MOVE
    We ask that you transport any ammunition, firearms, alcohol/wine, perishable goods or combustible items as we will not be responsible for these items during your move.‍
  • PAINTINGS
    Yes, we will properly protect your paintings to be moved. Please note, if not already boxed properly, this may add additional time to assure nothing is damaged in transit.
  • TV'S
    Yes, we will transport your TV, regardless of its size, in a designated TV box. Please note that we do not provide assembly or disassembly services for TV wall mounts, as this is considered apart of your dwelling. We recommend engaging a handyman for assistance in such cases.
  • PIANOS
    Yes, but each Packhorse Moving® stable is different. We know pianos are unique and we want to ensure we can transport them safely.
  • POOL TABLES
    Not at the moment. Improperly moving a pool table can damage the rails, aprons, frame, slate, legs and/or can cause great personal injury. Generally, the pool table has to be taken apart to be transported.
  • PLANTS
    Yes, but we know each plant is unique. We would request you ensure they are dry and ready to be moved properly prior to our arrival.
  • SAFES
    Yes, but each Packhorse Moving® stable is different. We know safes are unique and we want to ensure we can transport them safely.
  • CHANDELIERS
    Not at the moment. We do not dissemble fixed structural items during our moves.
  • HIGH VALUE ITEMS
    Please inform us of any items that are considered high-value. Any item that is worth $100 per pound or more would be considered high value. Examples could be high-end exercise equipment, crystal, china, paintings, sterling silver and precious metals, figurines/statues, precious stones and gems, oriental rugs, furs, rare collectibles, and formal attire.
  • PETS
    No, but we don’t mind having them around on moving day. We ask that you arrange to escort your furry friends to their new home on your own accord.
  • CARS
    Not at the moment. We know that classic car sitting in the garage is well worth it, but we are groomed to move your household items specifically.
