🚫 Don't Be THAT Neighbor

We all have neighbors.
Some become great friends. Some wave every morning. Some keep to themselves.
And then there’s THAT neighbor.
The one whose trash cans have been sitting at the curb since Tuesday. The one who thinks 11:45 PM is the perfect time to test their new outdoor speakers. The one who watches their dog poop directly on your lawn and suddenly becomes very interested in something on their phone.
Don't be that neighbor.
Here are 10 universally annoying neighborhood offenses that we think we can all agree on.
1. 💩 The “My Dog Would Never” Neighbor
Your dog did it.
You saw it.
We saw it.
The Ring camera saw it.
Pick it up.
There are few quicker ways to become neighborhood enemy number 1 than leaving a little surprise in someone else's front yard.
And carrying a poop bag around for the next 15 minutes is still better than making your neighbor step in it tomorrow morning.
2. 🎃 The Pencil-on-Halloween Neighbor
Let's establish the Halloween candy hierarchy.
Full-size candy bar: Neighborhood legend.
Fun-size candy: Perfectly acceptable.
Pencils: Straight to jail.
You had 364 days to prepare for this.
No 8-year-old has ever sprinted back to their parents yelling, “MOM! THEY HAVE NUMBER 2 PENCILS!”
We're not saying you need to give out king-size Reese's.
We're just saying Halloween has rules.
3. 📦 The “We Have Plenty of Friends to Help Us Move” Neighbor
It's 8:00 AM.
There are 12 cars parked up and down the street. Somebody's pickup truck is halfway onto the lawn. Your cousin has been trying to get the sectional through the front door for 45 minutes.
By noon, half the help has mysteriously disappeared.
By 3:00, someone's back hurts.
By 6:00, the pizza is gone and everyone hates each other.
“We're almost done!”
Meanwhile, the neighbors have been watching this operation unfold for 12 hours.
There's another option. Hire movers.
What takes you, 14 friends, six SUVs and Uncle Mike's pickup an entire Saturday might take a professional moving crew a few hours.
Your furniture will thank you.
Your friends will definitely thank you.
And so will the neighborhood.
4. 🗑️ The Trash-Can-Stays-Out-All-Week Neighbor
Trash day was Tuesday.
It's Saturday.
Bring it home.
At this point your trash can is receiving mail at the curb.
5. 🌱 The “I'll Cut It Next Weekend” Neighbor
Everybody gets busy.
Nobody expects the lawn to look like Augusta National.
But eventually there's a point where you're no longer growing grass.
You're restoring Pennsylvania's natural habitat.
If small animals have started disappearing into it, it's probably time to fire up the mower.
6. 🔊 The Outdoor Speaker Neighbor
Backyard music on a Saturday afternoon?
Absolutely.
Music loud enough that three streets over can sing along?
Maybe turn it down a notch.
And if it's 12:30 AM on a Tuesday, your neighbors shouldn't be able to identify the next song on your playlist.
7. 🚗 The Parking Spot Collector
Two-car driveway.
Completely empty.
Three cars parked on the street.
Why?
We're not even mad.
We just want to understand.
8. 🍂 The Leaf Redistribution Program
Fall has arrived.
Your yard is covered in leaves.
Thankfully, you've discovered an innovative solution:
Blow them into the street.
Or, even better, gradually blow them toward your neighbor's property and pretend nobody noticed.
Mother Nature created them.
Mother Nature can deal with them.
9. 📦 The Amazon Box Museum
One box by the garage?
Normal.
Three?
Busy week.
Fourteen boxes that have been sitting there since August?
At this point you're operating a satellite location for Amazon.
Break them down. Recycle them.
We'll all feel better.
10. 🎄 The Christmas-Lights-Until-March Neighbor
December?
January?
We'll allow it.
February?
We're starting to ask questions.
March 14th?
Take Rudolph down.
He's tired.
Don't Be THAT Neighbor
Nobody's perfect.
Sometimes the trash cans stay out an extra day. Sometimes the grass gets a little long. Maybe you've even committed the unforgivable sin of handing out pencils on Halloween.
It happens.
But if you're moving...
Please don't invite 14 friends over and turn your street into a 12-hour moving operation.
Your friends don't want to move you.
Your neighbors don't want to watch them move you.
And deep down...
You don't want them moving you either.
Call the Workhorses. 🐴
We'll handle the heavy lifting and we'll definetly not block your neighbor's driveway.
